2010 American Flag Program

The Kiwanis Club of Allen is now sponsoring the American Flag program in your area.

This is an opportunity for you to honor our country and support our armed forces with a beautiful

American Flag in your yard for six (6) flag holidays a year.

When you sign up, we will install a plastic sleeve flush with the ground near the curb in your

front yard to accommodate a pole mounted 3’ X 5’ flag (it will be caped and will not interfere

with mowing). On the following holidays the Allen Kiwanis Club will install the pole with the

flag in your yard and then pick them up immediately after the holiday. You don’t have to do a thing.

Presidents Day (Feb 15), Memorial Day (May 31)

Flag Day (June 14), Independence Day (July 4)

Labor Day (Sept 6), Veterans Day (Nov. 11)

Any proceeds from this program will help our efforts with community non- profit organizations

such as the Key Club at the Allen High School, Allen Community Outreach, Journey of Hope,

Samaritan Inn, Children’s Miracle Network, Little Angel League, and Week-End of a Lifetime

as well as the Dictionary Project and Terrific Kids program at Allen ISD elementary schools.

As a service organization of civic minded citizens of Allen, the Kiwanis Club is dedicated to

helping meet the needs of our community. We’re proud of Allen and proud to be an American.
