KIWANIS
CLUB OF ALLEN, TEXAS
Kris
Kistner
Club
President 1993-1994
"I
think you'll love it," said P.D.
"I just have a hunch."
"Our
club is rebuilding-come join us for lunch."
I was
member nine, and shortly thereafter,
I was
voted to office, and amid the laughter,
I
heard, "You'll follow Ernie in leading this bunch."
Conventions
and meetings, I was on the run.
Interclubs
and projects-it was all so much fun!
From
Ernie I learned about how to lead.
From
David I got tons of info to read.
Before
I knew it, my year as pres had begun.
A.C.O.,
I.D.D., C.M.N. to name a few.
Special
Olympics and Key Club-so much to do!
To a
fierce competition our Division was treated.
In the
end, Plano won-you KNOW that they cheated!
We went
to many Interclubs, and hosted tons, too.
With
this rhyming summary, I've tried to be clever.
Was the
year boring? Not once, not ever.
The
year was awesome, a ten it would rate.
It was
stupendous, amazing and great.
But the
best thing by far were the friends made forever.
